Overthinking Is Only
Part of the Problem
Calling anyone who’s exhausted by overthinking. Or who’s been told they’re confident, but doesn’t feel it.
Free to attend. Can’t make it live? The recording is available afterward.
WHAT WE’LL COVER
Map it. Interrupt it.
See what it costs.
The fear of messing up (FOMU) can look like being thoughtful, careful and responsible. But the reality is overthinking, replaying conversations, rewriting emails, and staying stuck between “I should say something” and “never mind.”
In this 60-minute session, you’ll:
- See the FOMU cycle and how much time it may be costing you.
- Map what fuels your overthinking.
- Learn one tool to interrupt overthinking in the moment.
- Understand what’s possible when FOMU is no longer running on autopilot.
NOT ANOTHER HACK
You don’t need to
run from your fear.
Nor is this just about willing yourself into confidence or productivity. This is about seeing and interrupting a cycle that runs on autopilot, so you are in alignment with your true self.
WHAT CHANGES
- You catch the spiraling and have the tools to interrupt it.
- An email that you avoid opening gets answered in hours.
- Mistakes bring grace and a lesson, not self-punishment.
- Confidence comes from knowing you can handle falling short.
WHO IT’S FOR
It’s not a
personality trait.
And it’s not the price of being good at what you do. But it does have a cost, and most of it doesn’t show up until after something goes wrong.
This is for anyone ready to face those patterns with curiosity instead of more judgment.
It’s not a quick fix or a replacement for therapy. It’s a space to do work with others who feel the same weight who also want to be true to themselves.

HI, I’M BRITTANY
I was afraid of mistakes for as long as I can remember.
When I was 12, my brother died, and I also learned that being different cost you connection. I got very good at being perfect.
I spent 20 years in disability inclusion, where I coined FOMU to name the awkwardness around difference. Then I expanded the scope of FOMU, including looking at my own life.
I have seen what happens when we face our FOMU, and I’d love to help you on your journey.
A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING
